Remember Mary Kay Letourneau, the ex-school teacher/convicted felon, whose passionate affair with a 13-year-old student produced two children and a seven-year prison sentence?
She and Vili Fualaau, who were married in 2005, are now just a typical old married couple. She’s 56 and a paralegal. He’s a 34-year-old part-time DJ who’s thinking about a marijuana business.
And, oh, oh, here’s a surprise! The marriage is in trouble. The couple has been legally separated since June of last year.
It seems that Mary Kay was not only the principal breadwinner, she also handled most of the parenting, finance and household responsibilities. Villi, for his part, complained to friends that she nagged a lot.

Despite it all, Mary Kay wants the marriage to work. According to a documentary on A&E’s “Autobiography,” which aired May 29, she’s hopeful they can overcome their differences.
As “Husbands: An Owner’s Manual” says, when a relationship crosses the generation gap, there’re bound to be some age-related differences.
One of you thinks a “church key” opens a chapel door. The other thinks a “hook-up” means getting your telephones installed.
One of you orders a half-caff, double-shot skim macchiato. The other prefers coffee.
One of you thinks Woodward & Bernstein is a law firm. The other thinks Android is a movie about aliens.
And in the case of Mary Kay and Vili: one of you is a grown-up, and the other is jail bait, literally.
